Nature / Environment
With our busy 21st Century lives it is easy to miss what is happening all around us.
Nature continues through its annual cycles year in, year out, but we often do not get the time to appreciate the majesty and beauty of what can be happening right on our doorstep.
This ever changing natural world provides an abundance of material for Keith Bailey Arts. We have developed that special ‘eye’ for capturing the looked over. Take the poppies on the left hand side of the page. We did not need to travel to the hills of Afghanistan or the blood soaked fields of Flanders to capture this image. It took a short walk, with a keen eye, in the North East of England to capture this beautiful moment in time.
That does not mean to say we will not go the extra mile when necessary to get the image we require. Indeed it is often said that you need to suffer for your art and sometimes we do suffer.
The beach shoot involved many different angles, however most of them required standing thigh-high in the north sea in freezing temperatures. Something reflected in the monochrome foam of saltwater as it laps the pebbles, smoothed over centuries by the ebb and flowing tides.
